How to Make Web Design Work for Everyone with Accessibility
The paradigm „form follows function“ has never been more important than in the context of Accessible Web Design. Nevertheless, the necessity of following accessibility requirements – now and even more in the future – does not mean that Accessible Web Design can‘t be both functional and beautiful.
The talk will give an overview of general technical requirements and regulations, User Experience Best Practices and the urgency of the topic in light of the imminent European Accessibility Act (EAA) coming into effect in Germany in 2025. Furthermore, the topic will be illustrated with SUNZINET case studies – the berufswahlapp.de and further case studies especially within the TYPO3 context.
